New Garden Pavilion Building and Pizza Kitchen at The Cricketers Inn receives Planning Permission

The award-winning Cricketers Inn at Curdridge in Hampshire has been granted planning permission for a new garden pavilion barn and a pizza kitchen.

At the 15th June 2022 Planning Committee Winchester City Councillors voted unanimously in favour of granting planning permission.

Andrew Burgess of Andrew Burgess Planning advised The Cricketers Inn on the planning application which was also supported by Curdridge Parish Council.

The new Garden Pavilion Barn will allow customers to enjoy a covered seating area during more inclement weather. People will also be able enjoy a pizza within the new building or in the beer garden. A full time Pizza Chef has been recruited creating a new job.

The wood burning pizza oven has been imported from Italy and weighs 420kg. It will serve a wide variety of pizzas from the classic margarita to a honey-smoked ham hock and charred pineapple pizza as well as a  truffle cream cheese, Parma ham and mushroom pizza, to name a few.

Stuart Downie, the Landlord said: “We are thrilled with the outcome at the Planning Committee and are delighted to introduce the Pavilion ready for the summer months.”

“Andrew has been instrumental in the whole process and we highly recommend him for any planning advice” added Stuart.
